I've been using German Motors at Simms and Colfax in Lakewood for maintenance and repairs on both my Mercedes and could not be happier with the experience. They've been in business since 1968 and the place is owned by a Master Certified Mercedes technician. Very honest and very good work.

Yes, MartinMike, I agree. I brought my recently purchased W108 4.5 to them and they did a terrific job bringing the old lady up to par. I like they way they deal with customers. I will definitely keep on bringing "Big Bertha" to them in the future.

+1 Mark Yoakum worked on my 1972 280 SEL 4.5 as well. Great service at a reasonable price. Sadnor at StarTech is very good for newer MBs (less than 15 years old).

Mark Yoakum of German Motors...

I just recently replaced my belt tensioner assembly in my '86 190e 2.3L. The car had set for a couple of days as it never does. Upon completion of this project I fired her up and had a solid miss in my #1 cylinder which I've never experienced. I had pressure washed the front of the motor for this project and was sure I had made a big mistake with the wash. Having used these forums I stumbled upon this recommendation for German Motors and Mark !! What a relief for me...Mark explained it most likely was the injector on the cylinder and with a few good taps it would most likely free up !! He was spot on and not arrogant whatsover with the advice...I have used Pro Star in Englewood in the past and will not be back anytime soon...the car would've been towed to them I'm sure. Then another expensive fix would be required. Not anymore...all my work will be handled thru Mark at German Motors...

Mark can be reached at 303-237-6262...

Mark and his staff at German Motors have enabled me to keep my '91 SL in good motoring condition, be it market runs, mountain runs, interstate trips, in all weathers and despite my 4 or 5 miles of gravelled road to the nearest pavement. They are open, communicative, and in my experience dead flat honest, enabling much good service and downright fun from a model that can be problemmatical.

German Motor

Mark runs a very professional and personal shop. Fair rates and more knowledge than a 25 yo Mercedes guy. Years of experience counts!!!

While traveling through Denver, the ABC started growling in my 08 SL55 I signed up with Benzworld and found Mark. We estimated $1200 to repair. Mark's technicians were able to isolate the problem and repair for less than $500! Mark was also nice enough to let us park the coach in his lot. Thank you!
