Thanks Capn for the recommendation. Had my car worked on there recently. He seemed really fair and honest. Rates were much cheaper than the dealer. Not sure compared to other independents, but I think reasonable enough.

@brendan3141 -- If you're still looking for a good mechanic, definitely consider Beverly Laurel Automotive. They're in Hollywood on Wilcox just south of Santa Monica Blvd. I've been taking my car to them since I got it two years ago and am very happy with their work. They're very knowledgeable and do a great job, IME.

Any reputable body shops?

Hello everybody. I have a Maybach 62S I wanna do some custom body work on. Can anyone recommend any good professional body shops in Beverly Hills or West LA areas?

I'm very persistent on finding a reputable place due to the kind of vehicle this is. Thanks in advance.

Try Vasten Autohaus. Their address is at 505 -511 N. Ave. 64, Los Angeles, CA 90042. I have brought in all our Benzes: E320 of the wife; C220 of my son and my 190E-16V and W114 280 as well. He is the first and only Independent MB Mechanic that told me: "We don't need to do that yet". His honest and fair and most importantly, he knows what he is doing. Its good to note too that the owner / mechanic is a mechanical Engineering Graduate and has trained and work with Mercedes Benz Germany and Canada. I did a little bit of research that's how I know.

Maybach_Mack_310,

It may be a short drive for you, but I highly recommend Prestige Too, 530 Alaska Ave.,Torrance, CA 90503.

I've taken my Porsche and Lexus there and the work was incredible.

Closer to the airport, Jim And Jack's, 1605 E Grand Ave,El Segundo, CA 90245, did a great job on my wife's Volvo XC90 it's also is where I take all my work trucks and vans.

Another vote for Tony at Europe Motors on Lincoln Blvd. Thorough and honest MBZ mechanic. For body work, I recommend either North Ranch Bodycraft also on Lincoln or Olympic Bodycraft on (you guessed it) Olympic Blvd. North Ranch did excellent work for me on another vehicle, and I have seen qork from Olympic that was also excellent. If I needed body or paint on my 560, I 'd likely have it done at one or the other.
