Totally recommending this place; Nelson is very nice and the price is right!
Took my '86 560SL to Boulevard Auto based on recommendations from this forum.
Circle Star in Van Nuys, CA had previously botched a job on the air conditioning
system and went to Boulevard Auto to re-repair the air conditioning system and replenish
The service ended up costing me $2600. After checking over the bill at home I noticed
double charges for the radiator flush and fluids and double charged for the power steering
pump service. These items were both done while replacing the air conditioning compressor and
then I was charged again as separate line items.
I had two rubber muffler hangar donuts replaced that had broken on the center exhaust system
assembly. They removed and replaced the two good rubber mounts that were still on the center
and left the broken mounts broken.
Nelson also wanted to do an additional $7000 of work on the car that I ended having Jay at
Rankin's Volvo-Benz (Van Nuys, CA) do for $2900.
Can't say that Boulevard Auto Repair doesn't do good work, I'll just say watch out for your wallet
if you decide to get any work done there.
