Sig and the boys always do a professional job, are reasonably priced and have the capability and common sense to prioritize repairs should your car be your only driver or if you have an emergency repair. I've always ended up paying slightly less than the original quote. They don't upsell you and ONLY work on Mercedes-Benz cars. BBB rating of A+

I can't say for sure but I've done this in the past with non-dealer shops on my other cars so it's not uncommon. Give them a call and ask, they are very easy to talk to and no attitude to put up with.
x2. Sig is a great guy, It's worth a walk through his shop to see the range of cars their working on at any one time.
x3!! Sig's shop is great... everything I have done to my cars, it's at MBI... been going to him since I had my 240D in high school.
I have never been shocked by a bill... usually surprised it's lower than I had thought it would be or been quoted.
Thanks to Sig, Rich, Brandon and crew!!

Just had some work done by German Service LTD. out of Hillsboro, Oregon. I just had an oil change and had Ron (owner) check out the car because I just bought it about a month ago, and wanted another set of eyes. He was helpful and answered all my questions, and did what I wanted to get done.
Shop rate is $85 hr. Oil change was $85. Cool guys. I recommend them, but this is my first time out with them. I'll go there again for more work, and see how they are next time.

Anyone Tried the Shop in Oregon City?
They are advertising on Craig's List as Mercedes Diesel Specialists - no shop name given, but they say they also have lots of parts for '73 and up and trained in Germany for 7+ years. Phone is 503-654-4488.
No longer a fan of MBI after one parts-counter guy and then two apparently more senior guys rudely and dismisively insisted that their bosch pencil glow plugs for older 123s (upgraded from loop-style) were $40 EACH at their retail counter. Not $14; not for a set of them; not installed; just $40 each, retail. "They're hard to get". The three of them scoffed at me like I was a dumb woman. Total BS and they were very dismisive. Sig was there, but seemed embarassed and kind of hid away when I started to look toward him. Luckily, I have benzworld and other internet resources, so this was one dumb woman who didn't spend $200 on $55 worth of glow plugs. At some point, they realized the error and had corrected the price when I checked again recently (just to see). I might spend $10 or $20 there on something I need in a hurry (though I've even found the dealer cheaper on some parts). However, I still don't trust them with anything significant and they won't be working on my cars again.
