+1 on Myerstar service. They have worked on my 300TE for years. They recently started to work on all German cars too.

Ok I don't want to take names here .. There was this place that I read on this site. And took my car there for service B and a "FULL" check up. I got it done, and had my air filter and cabin filter changed. Strangely, they suggested that my 8k mile old transmission fuild is grey and might need replacement !! I thought it was an honest mistake. And few "days" later my engine started stalling at low speed, took it to them and they said, some thing has to be replaced, and there is no need to replace air filter as it was replaced recently. I said cool. Then a "couple of months" later I took it back to have my command system, a signal indicator and battery checked. I didnt even ask for anything else. (Remember, in my first vist I had requested full check up). By afternoon I was told I need to replace my fuel filter, spark plugs, motor mount, "cabin filter", "air filter" etc, and it would cost me 1800 without air filter and cabin filter (now why the hell didn't they tell me about spark plug n fuel filtera few months before I wonder!!! I had even asked em to check it that time, this time I didn't even ASKKK!!!). And I would have to leave the car with them for a couple of days, I said there is no way I can leave it, then they said maybe they can finish it the next day!!!

Now tell me how often should one change cabin filter and air filter? every 3-4 months? i told them you guys replaced it, and even mentioned that I dont have to in my 2nd visit. Then they seemed to have lost my file!!!!!!! When I gave my receipt they said .. oh sorry .. you dont need to change it... but change other things on high priority .. something didn't seem right.. I hardly get conned by people I trust, but it was happening this time. So I just took it 50 miles from my house to David Terry, took a 3hrs bus ride back home. Went and collected it the next evening. So for fuel filter, spark pugs, motor mount "all OEM" DT charged me 1020. Now where the hell is 1800 and where is 1020. I don't want to mention this popular place in Tempe and hurt anyone or break anyones heart, so I will shut up. But all this writing is to appreciate David Terry.

My experience with the reputed, highly rated Tempe place has made me skeptical about everyone now. So although I appreciate DT, and he is good, I am not willing to trust anyone easily anymore. I hope DT proves me wrong by providing a good and honest service next time too. Thank You David!!
