VaiFanatic, et. al.,
"San Antonio is the biggest city ----------." = RotflmRao.
Nonetheless, we have some of the best Tex-Mex food anywhere, great BBQ joints & excellent cold beer.
Inasmuch as I just bought myself a Christmas present (a one-family owned anthracite/"peanut butter" M-B-tex, 1982 MB 300CD, with <140,000 miles), I need the coupe carefully checked out from bumper to bumper & the valves adjusted.
THANKS for the advice, everyone.
NOTE: I have a nice young man, who works for me part-time, who is GOOD at repairing brakes, suspensions, windows, power seats, power antennas, finding/fixing electrical & vacuum "bugs", etc. and he works CHEAP.
(Steve does NOT work on engines or transmissions.)
Steve's father, who is a "semi-retired" paint/body guy (with over 3 decades of experience), has a "one man shop" behind his house near the intersection of South Flores & Pleasanton Rd in 78214 & does GREAT WORK, way cheaper than "commercial shops".
(The sole problem with using Mr. Castro is that there is only one of him & lots of customers. = You have to "get in line" for his attention. - PM me & I'll give you his address/phone number.)
