LA, Lafayette

I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to ask this in the forum...

Does anyone know of a good, reliable indie in the Lafayette, LA or Baton Rouge, LA area? I am located centrally to both of these cities and would appreciate recommendations as to where I should take my W202 should major problems arise...

I really don't want to have to use the dealer, and my local mechanic DOES service Mercedes but he's mostly a GM guy and I don't want him doing any *major* repairs...

The previous owner of my car has a mechanic, but I want to find someone besides that (I am paranoid that the mechanic may not tell me everything or may try to screw me since he's good friends with the previous owner...)

I live in Lafayette, LA and was referred to an indie Mercedes Mechanic in Lafayette by another foreign car mechanic whose shop is off Johnston St. My referral did not turn out so good. I wound up having to return my car to him for remedial work every time I had it repaired at his shop. I have heard of a good indie Mercedes shop in Baton Rouge on Airline Hwy, not too far from the I-12, Airline intersection. I plan to use him the next time my car needs repairs.

Try Wedge Keyes, located on Airline at Cedarcrest in Baton Rouge.
Excellent, no-nonsense service by some top-notch guys.

Wedge has been doing this for decades, and has a loyal following.

I use Wedge's shop for my 3 Mercedes & BMW, I have no complaints, excellent work, good pricing and fair warranty, I know the mechanics by name and know their abilities. Additionally if any of you have BMWCCA cars or SCCA cars they are an approved safety inspection shop and are heavily into race car prep & racing in various road race sport car events. Trey or Eli @ the counter excellent guys. No where else in Baton Rouge.
If you're in New Orleans, Gambino's Forign Cars in Elmwood, same situation.
