Whoohoo. I am coming due for a B-service and have some other things to do. I had been going to Tafel, but they aren't cheap. I will be there in a couple of weeks.

I didn't know about this Indy but I travel to Louisville for weekends quite often. Passing through Lexington once, I had a CEL pop up. I finished my drive to the 'ville and Tafel worked me in Monday morning. They diagnosed a bad O2 sensor and told me I was safe to drive it back home if I chose, but I would have to pay for the diagnosis which would be included if I had them fix it. They had the part so I went ahead with them but it was not exactly bargain basement. In their defense though, I think they are a well run dealership as dealers go.

If you need some body work done or crash repair, I know of a great one man body shop.

He is repainting my 300cd right now. He used to be a few doors down from Don at Autobahn and a lot of Don's customers have come to him with their Mercedes. He always has 4 or 5 Mercedes in the lot. He doesn't have a lot of overhead so he is very reasonable. Not only that but he does awesome work and is a great person also.

louisville ky. repair shops

Stein automotive on Bardstown Road in Louisville Ky. are GREAT people to deal with. They are truly professional,I wouldn't take my Mercedes anywhere else, they do quality work and pricing is very reasonable. Give them a try.

I've owned two(2) W140's, a 190E and now a W208. Nobody touches my cars except Don and the guys @ AutoBahn Motors in Louisville, KY. Benz exclusive side, and now they have a BWM side. The bays a seperated buy an office.

I've been going to these guys since the early 2000's, and with the W140's, they've been forced to get so intimate with the cars, they partically made love to the cars, (and my wallet). But their pricing is fair, they shoot straight up, tell what you NEED, what can WAIT, and HOW LONG YOU'VE got. I go out of my way to get to these guys. Nice facility they moved into off of Poplar Level Road, too, although I miss the grimey old little shop they used to be in off of Mellwood.

Autobahn,Don and the guys.

These guys have their stuff together.Great prices and 10% off parts for
1st time customers. If you want to bring in your own parts, thats fine.Mine was
86 560sl,AC out.(leaking,could not stop it).I put in new compressor,took them
the car with new evap and new expansion valve from Autohaus. They also had
to fix the box(broke)replaced all vacum pods and rubber hose to them, new climate control and glove box,new heat sensor, all for $3200.Taffel of Louisville
wanted $6500.I wouldn't and couldn't have done the work myself to OLD to
contort the body. Now I can drive the car All the time and not just in the
winter.Stop by and see them they are GREAT!!!!!!
