Overall Satisfactory work. Better than the dealer, usually pretty helpful. Reasonable prices usually, as well.

I agree -- good shop -- and they've been around for a long, long time.

Recently took in my newly acquired '94 e320 wagon for an overall check up and fluids. Found them to be very friendly and helpful.

I wouldn't go to them for anything. A few years back they told a friend of mine her alternator on her Porsche 911 was going to take $1,250 to repair. I took it off in 15 minutes, had a local alternator shop rebuild it for $46 and it was fixed. $1,250 vs. $46 not good. Then last year I took my daughters 2000VW Beetle to have them just plug into the diagnostic port to verify the comfort control module was bad. They spent a few minutes and charged me $200. Then they told me the new module was going to be $525 and I said I can get one at the dealer at full list for $465, can't you just charge full list, you get parts at jobber price and they said no. I took the module out myself, had it rebuilt for $150 with a lifetime warranty, had the VW dealer reprogram the module and configure everything. The VW dealer only charged me $45 to do that, which I thought was a good deal and now it's fixed for less than K&M charged just to say it was bad. BTW they never removed the module, just plugged in to the port. In my book it's the biggest rip off shop in Peoria.

Have gone to K & M for close to 30 years. Good guys and very understanding of poor folks like me trying to keep old Benzes on the road.
