A great Chicago shop for older Benzes in particular is:
C & H Automotive
3322 W. Irving Park Rd.
Chicago, IL 60618
773-583-6676
Carlos has been a Benz mechanic for more than 30 years, and still loves what he does.

Hi,
Thanks for the previous information. What about junk or insurance yards for 2000-2008 Benzes?

While not in Chicago, Potomac German in Frederick Maryland is the best place to find what you are looking for. Ask for PAT. He is very knowledgeable and will go out of his way to help.

Chicago Suburbs Shops Hello,
Are there any recommendations for shops that are good with W124s out in the NW Chicago Burbs?
I'm thinking of taking my car(s) to Lindberg Automotive in Lake Zurich or Arlington Performance in Palatine. Has anyone used either of these shops?
Thanks,
Aaron

I don't really know anyone northwest. I'd give C & H a shout if it were me. He's right off the Kennedy at Irving Park. I know it's kind of a haul...

Has anyone used True Imports in Westmont, IL for Mercedes Benz head gasket repair? Would you recommend shop for this work? I have a M104 engine that needs this repair.

Anyone in the Mundelein / Libertyville area could not find a better shop than "AUTOBAHN MOTOR WORKS". Tony and his crew are the best in the area.
