Post Reliable Places to Get Repairs and Maintenance

Hello, from my experience, I can recommend 3 places in Chicago area where I can have my MB repaired and not to worry about negligent, lazy mechanics or ignorant parts advisors.
Repairs and Maintenance:
Fluid Motorunion
10131 Clow Creek Dr.
Plainfield, IL 60585
Phone: (630) 946-0166
These are a bunch of kids crazy about cars and love to work on them, not only to get your money and let you go.

Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates
1000 W Golf Rd
Hoffman Estates, IL 60169
888-397-6394
I got engine oil change here in less than an hour for $90.00 when other dealers were quoting me over $120.00. Very sincere people. I think the service advisor was one of the owners.

Using since 1987

Have been servicing my German Cars (MB & BMW'S) for 22 years.

We have become good friends, so that should tell that they do not goof up, or overcharge. The rates are in line with most aftermarket shops......not cheap, but certainly better than the area dealers.

Rolf's Auto Care
2015 Dempster Street
Evanston, IL 60201
847-328-8040
847-328-0058 (FAX)

Tellum "Mort Sent Me"......have never had anyone that I recomended tell me that they were unhappy......FWIW

Smile Star Imports Yorkville

Star Imports does a good job in Yorkville. They have an oil change special for Saturday mornings which is less than 50% of your MB dealer.

This is great info. For I live in Oswego, and will give him a call. I will be looking at a CPS sensor. The usual hard starts when hot problem. I do need some help from you guys though. Mine is the 2002 ML320. I seriously need the engineering menu commands for my Comand APS. Does anyone know the sequence? I have looked at all the thread, and have yet to find the one that goes to my unit. Mine does have the Tape, CD, DVD NAV, cell phone all in WOnder I guess you can call it. Also this unit has only a volume knob on top, and the lil joystick thingy bottom right. And the other usual buttons. Reall need the help folks.

Naperville/Plainfied, Il area

I would recommend Fluid MotorUnion, 630-946-0166.
I took my 07 CLS550 there and they Flash my ECU by a Power Chip representative and performed a couple of pulls on their Dyno.
A first class operation, I gained 20+hp after the PowerChip install.

AWSOME SHOP a lot of young guys who know whats up + Lamborghini up front tells something too. Highly recommended I got prime service there always as was discussed no surprises at the end. Owner got to the shop on Sunday evening to take my car in. 26 hrs later car was ready for a pick up with transmission installed. I received update for other small issues even without asking. Will be back for sure it was the best mechanic shop I ever used I am glad to be client. After I mentioned the forum I got tour on the shop too. GREAT JOB + PRIME SERVICE A++

I have been to a number of shops in the northwest sub. area. Personally I really like Wheeling Auto Center in Arlington Heights (on Hintz Road).
They don’t specialize in MB but are really good. They do offer free loaners!!! I am out of warrantee so this is great!! Just put the gas back in the car and your good to go!
They really do a great job. Others have asked about shops nearby (one in Arlington Heights) I have not been at all impressed with these shops. Everyone at Wheeling Auto is very nice. They wash the car when they are done.
