ALs Bimmer & Mercedes shop
8413 Lee Hwy, Fairfax, VA 22031
I am a former ASE certified tech and do pretty much everything myself on my vehicles. I have a total of 7 vehicles so I have a lot of work. On my 1996 E320 with a M104 inline 6, my water pump decided to fail. Not really a hard job but a good half day project with the right tools and assuming no stripped pump bolts. I am many thousands of dollars ahead doing work myself so I decided to take this one off, and outsource the repair if I could find the right shop.
I shopped around some of the better known places in the area and got quotes of about 700 to 1200 dollars...really..OK. I then tried AL's Bimmer repair and spoke with the service writer Saied, who was also a former tech and explained my situation. They gave me a very reasonable price to do the pump and let me bring my own replacement water pump for them to install.
Sounded good, so I decided to check out the shop with a mechanics eye, to see if they seemed to know that they were doing. Upon arriving at the shop that works out of a Shell Gas Station, I observed a clean three bay shop stocked with correct German fluids, not the typical low grade gas station stuff. The two techs that I saw were older gentleman possibly from Turkey pr
Persia that seemed to be working on MB products for a long time.
I was very impressed with what I saw and decided that they know what they are doing and dropped the car off, a few hours later it was fixed and they did a very good job for a great price. After the job I spoke with the techs and they seemed happy to speak with another mechanic that appreciated good labor.
Highly recommend these guys, professional and fast.
