You can contact Pete at 516-542-0820. He's the head mechanic / owner of Front Street BP. They are located at the intersection of Front and East Meadow Avenue. I've never heard a No from the guy.

I just had service done at Gullwing and I did not have a fair or reasonable experience. They overcharged and undercommunicated. I would take it somewhere else next time.

Count me as an EXTREAMLY satisfied customer of Willy's in Great Neck, NY. Willy is not your typical mechanic and he takes a little getting used to, but he does really good work at a reasonable price. Highly recommended. Call first. This is a Mercedes only shop.

I have a 1985 380SE that was having some strange idle issues. I read up on here how to do a few things that did not work and this car is my daily driver and I didn't have the time to go deeper into it and the car started using a lot of gas and the performance was getting worse. So I took the car to Willy.

I did call ahead of going there. When I got there Willy spent less than 30 minutes with the car and by the time I left most of the gremlins that existed were gone and when I backed out of his yard and put the car in drive and stepped on it ..... well...... the rear tires were so happy they left a nice cloud of smoke saying thank you.

According to Yelp, Willy's is closed? Is this correct?

The guys at Rallye Mercedes recommend Willy's. My friend had a tranny done on an S320 and it lasted 2 weeks. It's back there now. That's the only bad thing I've ever heard of about him. I work in Great Neck, so I know most of the shops. Automotive Workshop is pretty good. 385 Great Neck Rd. 516-482-7030. Jack is a whiz with old Benz's.
