Have used both Don Pool in Falls Church and WB Motors in Fairfax City. While I cannot say they are the cheapest places in town, they do quality work and stand by their jobs.

Had Don Pool do my timing chain and subframe bushings on my 560sl, plus some odds and ends, without a problem. From what I've seen, they specialize in older Benzes, especially Pagodas and some the of '60's vintage cars.

WB Motors did my pre-purchase inspection and replaced my starter motor, oil pressure sending unit, and other routine items on the 560sl. Have gone over my son's w201 turbo diesel, cleaning the tank, clearing the fuel lines, replacing flex discs, and other odds and ends. Seem to have a good network to refer you to for jobs they cannot do--such as when my son skidded the w201 sideways into a curb and messed up some of the suspension.

I like them both--WB is closer to my home, so I tend to go there more often.
They got good Washington Checkbook ratings for quality of service. Think Don Pool did also.
