I go there a lot and he has never charged my to diagnose stuff even when I end up doing the repair myself. But I spend a lot of money with him on various jobs I don't want to do myself. Ask him up front... he's a straight up kind of guy.

Upcoming PPI

I'm having Felipe do a PPI for an '01 CLK55 this Friday. Do I need to tell him what to look out for or should I be specific?

Yep..that is exactly how I do it. His rates are not cheap but not as crazy as the dealer either. I believe it is fair for the work done.

Just had my w203 worked on at this place. Felipe rocks!!! Like you said, he isn't cheap. However, his knowledge about benzes is priceless. I still saved money on my tranny service and engine belt install. Saved a couple hundred bucks from the dealer. I won't hesitate to use Felipe again.

What a difference a year makes. Not in a good way. Gotta say I am disappointed in Felipe. Tried to charge me for work I didn't need and some minor work I had done he upcharged me a few bucks. They lost a guy last year that seemed to know what he's doing. Only heard the owner's side so that made me pause. I won't be returning to this shop again.

I have nothing but good things to say about Precision Auto Center in Rockaway, NJ.
Felipe, Lauren & Sandy have taken great care of us.

We bought a 1986 560SL (@54K Miles) in October 2013 & took it to Felipe to check out before finalizing purchase.
This is the first older MB that we had owned.
Also owning more contemporary MB models, we were well aware of the dealer costs after all the "coverage" runs out.
Cosmetically the 560SL was nearly perfect.
It need a few minor replacements / repairs mechanically (new Hardtop seals, new AC compressor & other rubber parts, etc.)
They did everything at a fair price, and seemed to try to save us some money were possible.
The SL will always go back to them when it needs repair, although it's run for a year+ with no issues.
We push this car just a hard as the newer MB cars we own, which is not "casually", and it holds up to it without breathing hard.

If you have an older MB (or other Brand, especially German), you should check them out.

Recently took the 95 Black S124 Estate Wagon in for service. Great experience as usual. Neutral safety switch, fluids and seat mechanism repairs.

The wagon is now all about utility duty, love the hydraulic suspension for hauling stuff. Felipe keeps it on the road.
