Well, I am advertising for a friend, but hey, I am not being paid for it, so this is not exactly a commercial post, plus, my contribution to BW vouches for me that I am not for-profit Merc fan... so here it is...

Auto Mall Service in Norwood Mass, the address is

740 Providence Hgwy. (Rte-1)
Norwood, Ma 02062

The shop Manager is Moe, he can fix any Merc... look at my posts in the W140 section, if you like what you see... well... Moe is my mechanics "Godfather/master..." he's been working on Mercs since he was 13!!! (thats perfectly legal in some other countries)

if you stop by, tell Moe you're here because of Bayhas'/Benz World post... he will give you a break with the price... if he refuses, ask him to call me...

Garage:

Mercedes-Benz, W140 S Class S320 (AKA 300SE)

Mercedes-Benz, R230 SL Class SL55 (///AMG)

Mercedes-Benz, X164 GL CLass GL450

Former Mercs:

MA, Boston: Wheels

Hi - my 17" OEM sport rims were bought on the car, and aren't in the best shape. They're not in bad shape, they just have some obvious scuff marks and curb rash, and I'd love to have them refinished. I'm not entirely sure what this process entails; I've heard a simple sandblast and re-paint. They're not out of round and don't leak; they're in great shape mechanically, I'd just love to have them repainted at some point. Does anyone know of a good shop that will do this? I heard Direct Tire in Salem was able to LOCATE refurb'd OEM wheels from the guy I bought my snow tire rims from, and the rims I bought from him - OEM 16" - are in awesome shape. I just want my 17's to look the same now as those are my summer/3-season rims!

Thanks
Frank

Sold but not forgotten: 2002 E320 4matic sedan, black on beige ("sport" package - bird's eye maple trim, 17" sport rims), 108K miles upon sale.

RIP: 2000 E430 4Matic fully loaded - totaled 12/9/2006

Hello, neighbors.
I'm looking for a shop just to reset my SRS warning light in Boston area.
Unplugged the seats to detail my car and now I get SRS warning light...
Does anyone know a shop willing to reset it with reasonable price?
Otherwise, I'd just purchase the star system for future use...
Thanks in advance.

I had a great experience at Foreign Auto Center 251 Prospect St Cambridge, MA. I drove my 84 300td up to Boston for a conference. After sitting for 5 days it wouldn't start. After a bit of searching on-line (including the Car Talk website), I call Foreign Auto Service. They basically diagnosed the problem over the phone. AAA towed it to the shop and they go it running in a few minutes (air in the fuel system). Not only did they not charge me, they showed me how to do a roadside repair if anything happened on the drive back to NYC. Really nice people who went out of their way to help me.
