I just got an 86 300E and will begin to restore it as my 2nd car, for commuting to work. But, before I focus on aesthtic issues, I have two air conditioner questions ...
1. The ac works fine when I am driving, but the cold/cool air becomes warm when I come to a stop. When I pull off, it returns to cold/cool. About 30 days ago, it got a new dryer and freon. What do you suggest?
2. The ac controls include three buttons, arranged vertically. The bottom button pushes a low fan, while the top one is a high fan. What does the "auto" button control?
