fine by me....
OK by me to include the newer with the older, although there have been enough changes in engine design (e.g., I'm thinking/hoping no more turbo resonater problems) that a separate forum might help us newbies from getting mixed up on whether an older version problem applies to the newer version engines.....

Most Models have facelifts and various engine options. With my own particular forum the R129 roadster, there are about half a dozen engine options, many gearbox options as well as body work changes.
This is why we will always ask new members to complete their personal profiles giving the exact model type and year of their vehicle. When a post or new topic is made everyone can see from the member profile what model and year they own so there is no confusion.

The only problem is don't fill out the profile. I just opened one about a rough engine - no clue until I got into the body to find out it was an '01.
The difference between the NCV3 and the T1N is not primarily options - the T1 has a totally different engine without DPF and other polution devices and can use any kind of diesel while the NCV3 can only use UltraLowSulpher. No facelift either - the suspension, frame, etc. was totally redesigned.
Can you have 2 sections within the Sprinter section? That would work best but if all we can do is add '09 (they are being ordered as we talk) that is fine.

Keith, without BenzWorld creating an entirely new forum for the later model, the only way forward is to head each topic with the explicit model and year that is applicable.
Just looking at the existing Sprinter forum it doesn't exactly generate a lot of response with many queries from members going unanswered.
I would suggest that one of the sprinter forum's more knowledgeable and prolific members should be nominated as a moderator. The moderator would then be able to move topics and posts around to fit in with the newer and older models.
Please get back to me in this thread with any moderator nomination and I will forward the candidate to the administrator.
