Dear All
i have a big problem in my Smart Car ,
the lock key is flashing in the tableau , i tryied to unlock it as usual but it is not responding, i changed the key's battery but still not working , i don't know what to do ,can any one help me ?????

Good Morning,

Use key to unlock tailgate and enter Smart that way.
I would then disconnect battery for three minutes or longer. (THe ECU might reset itself.) And then, try starting in normal sequence.

hi
i changed the battery of the car but it is still not working .
we examined the car on the computer to find the problem , we found that every ting is ok except there no electricity in the Engine . we examined the engine alone and it is working . the car is locking the electrcity circuit leading to the engine that is why is not responding to the key . i need to know what is the part i have to change or what can i do to solve this problem .

I think that most probably you have a problem with your remote control unit and you would need to replace that unit.
That would not show with the computer test as it is an external unit from the car.
Usually when you open the car with Smart cars that allowes the ECU to open the security and then all electric will be open for the engine and all the electrical components as all the components takes the order from one ECU from the car that only opens with the remote control.

I do not know if you have found that out yet but I hope that I helped you with this

Where is Your SPARE Key? as all Smarts come with TWO Keys..
If No Spare key order one and get the Tan Code to version the spare key..Through the dealership..OR Unless You have your Own SDS aka Star to version code the key

The Keys are Version coded to the Immobilizer its a control unit that slides into the fuse box

Is your car instrument cluster appear in key symbol? If yes, you need to request 12 digits TAN code from DiamlerChrysler. You need to have your agent generate 9 digit code from Star Diagnosis and summit it to DiamlerChrysler.
