Here is a shot of our smart...a 2005 model cdi diesel with the following:
steering wheel paddle shifters heated seats factory cruise control heated/electric side mirrors A/C driver selectable automatic mode strikeline wheels with 175/195 section tires front/rear European market rear fenders without Canadian bumperettes/side markers factory fog lights pollen filter etc....
Lifetime fuel consumption has been 61 US MPG, over 50,000 miles.

My girlfriend's new Smart
So, my girlfriend has been talking about how she likes the fortwo for the last few months, so today we went and bought one. We bought it from a guy who took delivery middle of last month. So it has a few miles on it. Before you ask, we met up with him at MB Laguna Niguel cause the guy seemed a bit on the shady side of things, but it worked out. Apologies for the shitty pictures--2.0MP camera phone. It's weird riding around in it all day. I get less attention driving around in my S63. People waving and smiling and thumbs-upping [is that a word?] it was funny. The MPG is absolutely ridiculous. We went just over 62 miles on less than a gallon. I think that's right. Anyhow, makes my S63 look like a pig. A hell of a fast pig though, so I'm fine. Maybe a S400 Bluetec hybrid in 2010.

18.5k Not too much of a premium, I figure after TT&L the guy only made maybe a grand or a little more. Better than waiting 8 to 12 months or however long it might take. By the way, love the avatar.
