Goodyear eagle F1 tires look like new but have date codes 2005, so I guess that's the 20th week of 05, ~May 2005.

There is only minor curb marks on one rear wheel, but one rear and one front have small chips in the paint. They look great on a 129 and have 129 part numbers on them.

Ok, maybe not quite "like new" when looking at the inside of the tread on the fronts, but there's no cracking in the tires and they have plenty of tread.

I wonder if the fronts were refurbed because they are so clean on both the front and back. The rears have a slightly blue hue to the paint on the back side and aren't as clean.

But hey, these are some nice wheels.

I am thinking $1200-1500 with tires is a fair price. I have a set of these same wheels in chrome on my r129 that suit the price range of my car better with mismatched front and back tires. I could put these on my r129, but figure it's smarter to sell them to someone with a nicer r129 than mine.

Philadelphia area. I can ship FedEx ground with tires. It isn't as bad as I thought last time I shipped a set of 16" to Texas. Saran Wrap two wheels together and they are easy to transport by rolling them too.

Nice wheels, I think they should fit W140 as well.

Last night, I was walking to my r129 in the parking lot of the pool and it was starting to get dark. The chrome version of these that I currently have on my car was glaring at me "too much bling", which is why I think I will have to hold out for a good price on these much nicer ones than the ones on my 155,000 mile r129.

I would not bank on these fitting a w140 chassis. It looks to me like the offset is much higher than r129 wheel options. See: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/inf.../mercedes-benz

I just verified these appear to be called "style I" wheels.

They'll fit W140 just fine. My W140 had a set of these on it before I sold it. Bolt holes would need to be enlarged for the M14 lug bolts.

I have a set of these on my W210 currently.

GLWS, nice wheels

Ok wow. I guess they'd poke maybe a little, but it's good to hear they fit that model too. I assume you are right if you are confident they were 18". There's a 17" version of this style wheel in 7.5 and 8.5 in et 37 and 30 that I figure would fit a w140 better. But I doubt you'd mix up the diameter.
