Looking to buy a 280sl 107 series

Enthusiast interested in a 280sl, 107 series, with or without some issues at a decent price. This will be a weekend car, not showroom.

Send the description ( pictures will definitely help) and asking price.

Thanks.

Stick?

Curious why limiting your search to the m110 engine.

Make it 280sl 107series, Automatic...

I forgot to mention, I am looking for an 280sl automatic.

Reason for the "small" engine: subjective. I am not going to open a "grey" topic about engines as there are pluses and minuses.

Let's just say is a personal preference, even, it is true, I am limiting my options. I will try first to find this one, if not I will move to a 1972 350SL.

That's fine and good to know. I really like the m110 engine.

I would recommend looking for the best example you can find regardless of the engine in the car.

Would you clarify whether the 1972 350sl search would be 3.5 or 4.5 liter version?

Looking for a revvy engine? Like the 2.8 and 3.5?

I happen to have a parts car 3.5 1972 350sl 4-Speed manual.

Automatic 300sl (SOHC engine) seem to come up too. Would that also be one you'd be interested in? More so? Less?

Just trying to get a handle on the logic.
