Selling my daily driver of the past six years, a blue-green 1984 300D Turbo Diesel with tan interior. Runs like a beast. I'm only the 3rd owner of this car and it's only got 183,000 miles on it.
The original owners left the sheepskin seat covers on the car for the first 25 years of its life, so when I removed those covers, I was amazed to see that the leather interiors look BRAND NEW. I've put a new, blue-tooth capable radio in there that also plays CDs and USB drives, but I still have the OEM radio if you'd like to put the original back in there. Minor wear and tear on the upholstery in the ceiling/door areas and one of the rear windows could probably use a new motor, but in the category of 1984 300Ds, it's all pretty sweet. I had the A/C serviced about two years ago, so it actually BLOWS COLD and the heater blows hot. Had all the vacuum lines replaced about a year ago so the locks, engine shut off, etc., all work well.
Had it repainted in 2010. Very very minor blemishes on the exterior. Never been in an accident that I know of. All the lights work. I put the hub cap wheels on there because I think it looks cool. I've still got the OEM Bundt wheels which I'll include with the car. Tires and brakes both about one year old.
I have it serviced by George at G&N Motors in Westwood about twice a year so it runs like a dream. Not sure I'd take it cross-country, but for getting around town it's awesome. I've driven it everyday for the past six years and it's been pretty reliable for a car of this age. I have the oil changed regularly. In short, I've taken good care of this car and I've enjoyed the crap out of it, but now it's time to pass it along to someone else.
