FS: 1995 Mercedes-Benz E300 Diesel - $3750 Northwest WA

Hello all, I am regrettably selling my 95 E300 as I've moved into a new place with a smaller garage and am forced to cut down on my collection.

Photos HERE: https://picasaweb.google.com/1042201...eat=directlink

The car was purchased new at Rasmussen Mercedes in Oregon (now Mercedes-Benz of Portland) and has lived it's entire life in the northwest. Optioned in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) over Parchment MB-Tex interior (175). This E300 has been lovingly cared for and maintained to an obsessive degree, both cosmetically and mechanically using only Mercedes OEM parts. There are over $15,000 in receipts dating back to 1999 and about $8,900 from the last 30k miles alone. All records have been kept and stored in a binder.

Garaged, non-smoking, no pets, no kids, no food or drinks. I used the car to commute from Bellingham to Seattle and consistently averaged 30-35mpg with little effort, E300's were fitted with a larger 23.7 gallon fuel tank for a massive 700-800 mile range between fill-ups. The car has 328,500 miles on perfect working odo and includes the 500,000km award and grill badge from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center. 500,000+ miles on these cars is not uncommon. Runs and drives great, doesn't burn oil. Diesel cetane additive used at every fill-up. There is a factory block heater installed for the winter months but it starts perfectly without it.

The car presents very well. Exterior was regularly washed and waxed and the Smoke Silver paint shines beautifully. There are some small dings and scratches but no serious damage or evident clear coat failure as was very common for Mercedes during this era. The body is rust free although there is a spot of paint bubbling near the A-pillar on the driver's side (see pic). The front and rear bumpers were professionally repainted in 2014 due to rock chips. The interior looks like new and was regularly maintained using professional detailing products. Everything works down to the power headrest adjustment and digital ambient temp gauge. There some minor flaws, most notable being a couple small cracks in the Zebrano wood lacquer on the console trim around the window switches.

The car has a few quirks as you'd expect at this age but no serious issues. The power sunroof recently developed an electrical issue I have not had the time to diagnose, blows the fuse when switch is pressed but is closed and watertight.

-Restored driver's seat with new back, bottom, and armrest using oem pieces, all seats feel brand-new, very comfortable and supportive

I saw this car a month or so ago at a local MB shop as the injectors were being replaced. If the odometer displayed 150k I would have believed it. Tyler is a true enthusiast and the car is very nice for its age. For solid transportation for a family member or friend I would pay the price in a minute. Read the list of recent work, no surprises on this one. GLWS Mike

I can't imagine this would last long on Seattle CL.... The 95 E300 seems to be a rare and coveted bird around these parts, they're usually only up a few days locally before someone snatches them up, especially one that looks this good and has such a great pedigree.

I wanted this car so much, but was hesitant to pay the cost for shipping.

I should have.
