107 450SLC 5.0 Aluminum Hood

I have a very good hood which is aluminum correct for the 1977-1980 450SLC 5.0 .
If anyone is interested please contact me with a suitable offer. I can send photo's of the panel. Being new to the forum I am not sure how to upload a photo to this ad. At least not successful to date.

Thanks for that Rowdie. Yes I should have mentioned that too but the main point that I was trying to get across was that it is right - being Aluminum - for the special 450SLC 5.0 which are rare as only 1470 were produced so that if anyone with one of these cars is looking for the right replacement hood it is available.

I misspoke. If original it will fit all 107s through 1985 model year. There was a slight change in 1986.

And all 107s after about 1980 got aluminum hoods. So it's only rare if it's on a car made before that time.

107 Aluminum Hood

Thanks for that bit of info Fonzi. Its good to learn something new every day and I am comparatively new to the 107 series - only had mine 12 months. The car this came off is a 1980 model so that would explain why now. I thought it must have been damaged and they put a 450SLC 5.0 hood on it to replace a metal one. Seems that is not the case and therefore they would be reasonably plentiful on the ground.
What is a Aluminum hood worth ? Can anyone give me an idea ? Of course in the end it also depends on what someone is prepared to pay.
Thank you fellow members for your comments.
