I have six h&r 25mm spacer adapters and could reduce that offset down to 22 which would be pretty good for the r129. But I will always know they are ML wheels and I don't think I want to invest:
~$200+ worth of spacers
- $400 on the wheels
- probably another $150-200 in shipping
- then probably another $500 in tires.

My r129 is CHEAP, and even $400 wheels may end up too expensive for it when I look at the added costs. As soon as I dump the panoramic top, I should still have less than $1000 NET into it if I don't count the 18" wheels I bought for the car and gave to a friend before I even got them home.
:
Mike, are you build that R129 up for 24hr Lemons or something?

Just having some low-dollar fun. It's actually a pretty solid car it seems. Being a wheel guy I couldn't look at the 8-hole chrome 8x16 et34 wheels with dryrotted tires any longer knowing that so much more stance can fit in there.

Ahh, I'll have to scan the R129 section to see if you've shared photos of this ride of yours. But I know what you mean about those 16X8s.

Are you talking about the new ones available ? I tried a couple of places in the states that said they had them and when they checked they didn't ,I have done a part search on.

Mercedes-Benz Classic Ersatzteile

Is this where I am supposed to find them? as I cant seem to

The part number for the ones I want is b6 647 0084 as these are the diamond cut ones on my mille miglia sl ,but due to poor English roads and weather mine are really oxidised so I will get them paint finished and use the polished ones in the summer only.

Perhaps they are NLA, or the diamond cut finish is not available. This is from the June 2015 US classic center email. Maybe you have to deal with the Classic Center in Germany.
