This is not entirely accurate. All N.A. vehicles received leather, similar steering wheel, and the optional CD changer.

Special Edition vehicles received their own style wheels, stainless steel door sills and badges that said "Special Edition." That is it.

I have several wiring harnesses (E300/320 and E400/420), ETA's, side/tail/headlights and trim for sale. I can also get requested parts from local JYs. PM me.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. I was just reading from the options listed in the package off of the window sticker. It surely didn't sound "special."

Actually, this is not entirely accurate.

In addition to what you mentioned, the Special Edition package included integrated analog cell phone, trunk mounted six-disk CD player, high performance 10 speaker sound system, drivers seat memory, and burl walnut interior trim. On the E320 and E300 diesel the extra cost was $1,295 for the options that were worth about $4,300. The E420 package cost only $495 since it already had burl walnut trim, driver seat memory and the high performance 10 speaker sound system. Paint colors available were Moonstone Grey, Azure Blue, Sapphire Black (exclusive to the Special Edition) and a new color called Brilliant Emerald Green. (Astral silver as seen on this E320 is not one of the exclusive SE colors).

Also I'm not sure about what "Special Edition" badging you're referring to. The similar "Masterpiece Edition" sold in other markets received special badging however the U.S. Special Edition did not.

^To me, those other features of the Special Edition were not "special" since they were available options.

I would recommend that you keep this car. It's very hard to find nice ones, and you won't find a better car for $3000. Insurance is as cheap as you will find. And if you don't have parking, just buy a nice car cover (like Covercraft) for a few hundred dollars and keep it covered when you are not using it.

I'm finding it a little stressful having 2 vehicles at this point in my life, as I'll be graduating college this spring and not knowing what job I'll land or where in the US I'll be. Without revealing too much of my financial or personal situation, I would just find it easier not worrying about such a nice car and would rather stick with my 207k mile BMW or pick up a truck for when I do need to haul stuff or people that won't fit in the 328i.

Its special edition meaning you get a lump of upgrades for cheaper then selecting them one by one. I do wish it had heated seats now my bum will be cold in winter. Great car besides that I need to change all tires theyre mismatched, brakes vibrate, air in brake lines, alternator belt is very bad and the worst is the water pump is making a lot of noise. Also it needs a full tune up and Im not going near that untill the wireing harness comes in I hope thats what causing the car to shut off on idle. Over all 3K was a good price to ask as these are rare. I got it for a bit cheaper because of all the things needed to be done.
