Impressive work. That's a very interesting car. Manual transmission and windows but power sunroof and it has ABS. I don't think I have ever seen another W123 with ABS. Very cool.

Here is a little w123 story................Its unique so I figured Ill restore it. My Grandfather had a 230E in Poland I should've bought when he said he would not drive anymore but I was like 18 then with no cash. SO when I saw this one I said Ill make a Nice show car. My father used to work on the w123 between 82-2001. Its all he did was w123, w124 and some of these transport vans Mercedes had. He would rebuild the motors and they would last longer then factory. People all the way from Russia came to leave the cars to get rebuilt motors. So the w123 runs in my blood even though I mostly do w124. I remember once we bough w123 to restore. We paid 500$ for it in 1998 it was a 82 240D 4spd. Car ran well with around 500K Kilometers but It was rotten. My father took it inside the shop and we started dismantling it for restoration. Me then 10 removed the whole interior while my father took apart the front end. After removing the carpet my father could continue welding but after I fell through the floor and yelled that this is way too much work he stopped possibly it was the first time he said Im right about something. We ended up parting it out I remember it had the cool fiberglass fenders that never rusted. When I find a w123 that has less rust then a 2012 Nissan I just cant keep my hands off of it. This 280E loves curvy back roads. It Has so much grip, It really feels like you're driving one of them old rally w123's. This Car was restored with heart just like all the other ones I do. No corners were cut. All the body prep (besides weld grinding on those two quarter panels)was done by hand to achieve a smooth finish without waves in the paint.
