1999 E320 - Parting out, Recycling Vehicle
I have a 1999 E320 I have sheduled to have dismantled for $1500 through California's car recycling program. However, I wanted to see if I could milk the money I'd get by parting out of as many as the non-essentials necessary to qualify for the recycling. I'm in the Los Angeles area, so if you're interested, post a message here. I know the car needs a certain amount of headlights/ seats, and needs to be driven to the location. But do you guys know what items I could pull out to still keep the car running? Hell, if you can offer anything better than $1500 it's yours.
The car has been my daily commute, but has some kind of coolant leak, even though they've told me the pressure in the system is fine. There's also an oil leak, I believe the valve cover , and I've had to top it off every few weeks, but not dripping-type leak. The AC comes and goes at will, although it's working perfectly right now (no idea). The driver's seat functions perfectly electronically, the passengers seems to do what it wants to, it doesn't follow the orders you give it, but still moves. The bumper is kind of falling off on one side, and one of the brake lights is gone. Typing this up I realize I won't get more than the $1500 being offered, hahaha.
If anyone is interested in the non-essentials, make an offer, thanks!
