Hi
Did it sell through Hemmings, if not than where was the sale generated?

Thanks
Bruce

How I sold the car . . .

My mechanic referred one of his clients to the Hemmings web site. The buyer reviewed the photos/description and called me. 24 hours later, he took possession, we transferred title and he paid me. A great result for only 3 days on the market. I did receive quite a few inquiries - and, it helped that Hemmings featured the car in their daily blog email blast a couple of days ago. This is the second classic Benz that I sold in Hemmings in the last 12 months within a few days of posting the ads.

That was fast! Good job. I just today located an 89 560 SEL that the original owner wants me to sell for her. 56k original miles, always garaged and always a Pacific Northwest car, i.e. no sunburn, no rust and looks great. My plan is to get my local MB specialist to go thru the car front to back, replace plugs, wires, caps, ALL fluids and filters and whatever else needs attention. Then I will do my "mini restoration" including 3 stage paint correction, steam clean engine compartment and interior carpets etc. Hope to have the car on the market within a couple weeks. Appears lately that Hemmings, BAT and ebay are the best venues to sell the better w126 cars.

Congrats Last R107. Miss your presence in the R107 section. I am certain this car was similar to the others in that it was collector/enthusiast owned with the budget and interest in maintaining in top shape. Not surprised at the quick sale. Hope you are keeping that Lincoln...

even at 100k the car is not worth 10k and wont be for another 20 years
Gee,how can a person be wrong 2x in such a short response as yours? Porsche in the shop 45-50% of time-don't be a hater and car value under 10k,wrong again.
