I have a little down time with work right now and started looking in all my old honey holes for cars and this one was too good to pass up. 2003 E500 sedan traded in at the Lexus dealer in KC. 136,000 miles. The history report comes back as a 3 owner, no accident car, with the previous owners purchasing in 2007.
Over the years I sold many W211s, and this is the first one I've had that has the fold flat second row that goes into the trunk, giving you near wagon utility out of a sedan. Shame it wasn't standard on all the cars, but this lucky one has it.
I called into the KC Mercedes dealer to check on warranty work and it was serviced there for many years. Big relief to hear the SBC brake pump was replaced as a goodwill repair in June, 2013, as well as the rear airbags for the suspension. The service adviser didn't note any other significant repairs outside of normal maintenance. Car was last serviced there at 134k.
The car has no current needs to drive anywhere right now. No annoying electrical issues or any leaks, mechanical problems that I know of. It could use lower ball joints, as the suspension does clunk on low speed bumps, as well as tires. Right now they are all Michelins with 2-3/32nds remaining. The lock button on the laser key is cracking, unfortunately that's the only key I have ($225 a pop for a replacement). The car presents well, with normal wear cosmetics wise. Carpets/floor mats could use a deep cleaning. It also has nice rubber all season mats in good shape. I've taken pictures of the few larger scratches and dings the car has. The color is desert silver; it looks alot like smoke silver.
Firm price of $4000. Dirt cheap for a nice, sorted car of this caliber and you know it. Fly in to Wichita, KS and drive it home anywhere. I can help with shipping too. I'll run it exclusively here and on BW for a week before I list it on craigslist. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
