Hi - I'm selling a 1997 Mercedes E300D (Diesel) sedan. It is Gold with a tan leather interior and is my daily driver. It is currently inspected in NY until February - but the check engine light is on (P0400, Throttle sensor). It still seems to run/drive great though. The exterior has a few paint bubbles and small rust spots (no holes). The interior is in good shape given the age of the car.
229k miles (approx)
Traction control
Power everything

Car is in Buffalo, NY - looking to sell soon. Please send offers.

Code P0400 is an EGR malfunction

Check all the vacuum lines and resonance flaps for proper actuation. Make an attempt to clean out ALL the carbon in and around the EGR valve itself as it may be binding from soot.

Give us an idea of what you want for the car and post a pic or two. I know it's the internet, but people are lazy.

I have cleaned the intake and fixed the p0400 before - but never tried the "override" trick with the little air filter. If I kept the car I would probably do that next.
