Pulled the final bits from the 240d before it goes to the scrap yard tomorrow. I wanted to take it today, but Sam the w114 man wants some rear subframe bits and can't make it today.
Gas tank and valve cover don't look bad at all.
Removing the AC compressor was the hardest thing about removing this intake manifold. The nuts just unscrewed with no issue. There's a vacuum line with a banjo fitting I should grab to make this totally complete. Somebody asked for this.
The doors were also completely broken down after the 300d owner came to pickup the complete red interior. I got all the good manual window regulators and glass and all the trim and the driver mirror off without damage. So all that junk is available to the first person to make an offer if it is local pickup. If I have to package and ship anything, it would be nice to get an offer big enough to make shipping worthwhile.
I would like to get ALL the w115 stuff gone ASAP with the exception of the seat belts that it might use for a custom project. The bucket of nuts and bolts is good to have for other projects too. Otherwise, lots and lots of good parts are here for the taking:
- complete manual transmission with all parts listed above and I grabbed the brake booster and master cylinder too.
- the entire car of glass. Windshield, rear glass and all door glass. Regulators and door glass tracks are rust free.
- exhaust manifold
- 240d badge, diesel badge.
Oh, that reminds me. The hood and trunk lid are good but going to the scrapper of nobody speaks up for them today. Same goes for the AC compressor. It's out, but I left it in the car for scrap metal value. I thought I should grab the diesel injection stuff, but didn't see how. The cam also looked good, but I didn't feel like removing it. Same with the engine head. Same with the front subframe. Differential too.
I have one 6x14 wheel. All the rest are 5.5. I think I will save the 6", and leave the 5.5 to the metal scrappers if they let me leave them with tires (doubtful).
