Craigslist Scammer

1997 MERCEDES-BENZ E320 ~ PARTS - $1

Called him up and I was asking about the car. He said its "new rebuilt Trans", yet he did not know what type or even who rebuilt it. Said it has only "50 miles" on it.....quickly the conversation went down hill as I was calling him out on the BS. Total fraud car has 260k and he is way overpriced.

Jeez, my 210 had 357,000 on it when I sold it, and it looked nowhere near as bad as this one. How can people let their cars go to hell like this?

Thanks!

Wow - it looks like anything you buy here is "top notch", has been well maintained and serviced by Mercedes. I really can't understand why everyone doubts this poor guy - LOL

Typical Craigslist ad.

Read ad, talk to seller or actually visit car. Discover that description and item being sold are two totally different things.

Go back to BenzWorld to find something that is properly described and fairly priced (usually.)

I say this with some irony, as I just came off a two month binge of trying to find a nice W140 on Craigslist. I gave up in disgust, as nearly everything I looked at rarely resembled the ad description.

Is it just me, or are my standards too high?

Dan

!

I am not jaded by craigslist, just have to be aware of the douches that try and scam people. I just found a gem, practically rust free W123 with only 63K on a OM617. Its fun bargain hunting but just be aware.
