Oh man I dont think Im ready to seperate from them unless the whole car goes. Only reason Im selling is that its between this and 92 500e right now I dont know what to keep. 500e does 15mpg I think I would need to instal a hydrogen kit on it LOL. Tell you the truth I dont think Ill ever find another 300e 5 speed thats black with no rust and never painted, with a perfect heated seats interior and with low mileage. So im not too much into getting rid of it, Someone that sees the car for what it is can own it I dont want someone driving it to the ground thats why I put like 5.5K in it. 10 years ago I cut one up same thing 86 300e 5 speed. One of 900 brought to states. Now I wish I had the car still as it was Florida and same with no rust, Red with very bright almost white interior. Thats why I made this one preety. I get thumbs up when I drive it But I dont think people know how much money the car has in it. I built it for my self my style, I did not go cheap. I need to paint the front grille again using normal paint. front bumper with amg reinforcement bar and all accessories weighs about 70 pounds yellow 55w HID installed on it.

3 I sold one last year. 1986 300e originaly came with the 5 speed too. It had a 24v motor installed and body needed full restoration clear was coming off and tons of scratches with dents. No rust 150K sold for 4.5k the car was super quick. No cats I made stainless mufflers. With cats the motors make 228hp without its more like 244hp. I was thinking to install one on this 300e I already have a 24v m104 first gen motor with 140K on it but I decided to keep the 300e mechanically stock. I also have a differential that has lower gear ratio. It would be fast but who will pay me for it? I already got alot in the car, the motor costs around 1200 and the job another 600 or more. Its a simple swap as the wireing harness stays same. like 2 sensors wont be plugged in but the 300E I sold ran perfect. they brought 300 1988 models and 600 1986 I never had a 88 would be the rearest of the bunch. I still like how the 86 is made more there are a few things different and seem not to rust at all no idea why.

Cool car; buddy had a 1986 black 300E for many years back in the 90's; sold it to his boss and it's still running with nearly 300k on it. Same buddy and I raced a 1986 300E manual in LeMons - great, reliable racer even worn out with 200k on it. The manual 300E's aren't worth much; I'd think an $11,000 offer is a here's-the-title kind of deal.

Yeah I understand. I price the car at 7-8K without the mods which is a normal price I think. But as we all know amg parts are expensive so I understand If people dont want to spend money on them. Most of us take evrything off before sale, wheels bumpers and stuff just because its dificult to get your money back. In this case its just complete with the "toys" the guy that gave me the offer probably would do the same things anyways and appreciates the AMG pieces and so he is willing to pay. It still does not mean Im getting a deal or anything. Lots of love went into this baby. I would hate to see the car mistreated so I made it be expensive by adding about 5K into it. :0 now if someone buys it it will be well taken care of.
