It's not two toned, the color is a mix between blue and black hence the name blue-black

Correct. The Window sticker of my 560SL (199 paint code) states Black Pearl Metallic.

Exactly, 199 can either be black pearl or blue black.

Color code discussion aside this is one of the nicest North American 380SLs I have seen in awhile. If you have maintenance records it is worth twice the $5K of the current bid. I really hope you get what it is worth.
