bump! Thought I had a lead, user jimmysk said he would come through but payment only insta-gram, then disappeared when I asked for a pickup location. His offer appears not to be quite sincere :-).

Hanno. Stop by. I don't know exactly what you need, but I just parted a 1972 450sl down to the pistons. PM me for my address. I'm very close to the dealership where we first met and you liked the hubcaps on my black 1973 450sl.

Thanks!

I'm very confident I've got your AC belt pulley and bracket.

I also have the trans cooler lines from my 450sl part out. They sure are cheap here. Do I need to run a Black Friday sale for you to stop by?

Yeah. Me too actually. I would just be glad to help out anyone local who can save me the effort of shipping something in order to put it to use. Good to know I didn't crank that bolt off that engine for nothing but losing the $0.07/lb that the metal recycling place pays.

I only got $43 for this:

I guess ~600lbs can't be a record for a carcass if it didn't have the frame in front of the front shock towers (because I had to remove it in order for car balanced over those dolly wheels).

That carcass plus the engine block (with absolutely nothing in it or on it, no crankshaft, pistons, etc.) was all I took to the scrap yard. I think I got about $14 for the engine block. I need to get rid of that crankshaft with the timing chain case attached. ...

So come on over! The Black Friday Sale starts when you show up in my driveway! Beat the crowds!
