Hi All.

I have a cracked tail light lens. any idea where i can get the red lenses for w114s? google, shows up a couple on ebay here an there for some silly amount of money. but also here and there, i'll have seen them (sold at this site) for less than $100

anyone have a pair they would like to sell me? I'm buying.

PM me.

You left out some needed information. Are you looking for the early style (smooth) or the late style (grooved)? Also, are you looking for all-red or amber corners and the rest red? If you are looking for all-red that's rare in the states, I think it was one year only, maybe 1969...

These are getting a LOT harder to find in the scrap yards. Your best bet might be to keep watching ebay for a reasonably priced BIN listing.

WTB red tail light lenses for w114

Thanks scoot. Yes I mean *all* red not *some* red. (Since there are no ribbed all-red ones anyway, I wasn't worried about specifying that).

My point in posting (my WTB here) was that they are getting hard to find and that the ones on eBay are crazy expensive. But maybe this group knows of someone has a set to sell?

So do you have any to sell or know of any other sources OTHER than eBay that carry them?

Thanks, Tom

My suggestion about ebay is that things come and go and prices are all over the map. If you create a saved search that notifies you of new listings _eventually_ you will find someone selling some for a reasonable price.

You also say you have a cracked lens. Does that mean you need one lens, if so left or right, or two lenses? In my years of junkyarding (and only once found good all-red lenses) it's much more common to find one lens then a pair. Currently I only have W108 lenses and assemblies.

Okay thanks anyway Scoot.
I don't like that auction site but if that's the better option, I'll check there.

Thanks
Tom

I don't like ebay but I play the ebay game anyway. It's better than craigslist. Other suggestions - google the part number and see what you find. Check the price of the part number via a trademotion dealer site. Post to the wanted and/or vintage section of peachparts. None are sure-bets, but searching by part number instead of "w114 tail light" will give you some different results and it's not unusual to find NOS parts by part number at less than expected prices. I don't know if the part is NLA from MB but it's worth knowing. If a bunch of people are listing them for $315 on ebay then chances are that they are buying them somewhere for much less.

Went looking for a fuel pump today. Found it... and calipers, rotars and pads. But I also saw some taillights from a 1973 w114 so I scooped them up. They're really nice.
