I think you misunderstand "how much" extra I'm talking about
Maybe 20 grams per side ??
I go by what the inside of the hubs looked like when I took these cars apart new
The hubs were pretty much filled, to match what I pushed out with a rag
takes a "little" more then spec
But if your paranoid, use a cheap food scale and weigh out the amount
your chassis calls for.
And no, in 30 years working for MB, I never saw a problem with my method
which pretty much every tech in the dealer used as well
In fact, the veteran shop foreman that mentored me when started showed
me that method back in the early 80's.
As far as "not enough room for the grease "to flow"............
If your familiar with boat trailers, they have bearing caps with grease zerks
called "bearing buddy's"
You pump grease into the hub/bearings until it comes out the inner seal
I'd say that hub is 100% full of grease, what do you think about "too much grease" now ??
