WTB AMG 3, 2 Piece wheels

As the title says. Here is a pic of the 17" I have that came with my car. Also willing to trade 17" AMG monos from my c36. Also willing to sell the 17" or the monos on my 36 (if anyone is interested I'll take some pics). I am located in NW Arkansas.

Is it just me, or is your wording confusing?

Your Title says, "WTB AMG 3, 2 Piece Wheels", but then you show a picture of a AMG III 2 piece wheel, that you say you "have", and that it came with the car. If you already "have" that wheel set why are you buying another set?

Obviously you don't already have the set you want to buy, but your wording in ambiguous.

It may be helpful to say, "Here is a picture of the type of wheel set I want to buy", and then, "here is a picture of the wheels I "HAVE NOW" that I will trade or sell.

I always thought that the wheels that came on a C36 from the factory where AMG Mono II's in 17". (I have purchased and sold 2 sets)

Also one could always say, these wheels came with my car, (when I bought it used), meaning that the wheels may not be the same wheels that came from the factory. A common mistake people make is assuming that if a set of wheels was mounted on their car when they bought the car used, they assume the car came from the factory that way. Mercedes owners sometimes change their wheels out like they change their socks...lol

Anyway, back to AMG II- 2 piece wheels, you should be very specific in the exact wheel you are looking for. Almost all AMG wheels styles are made for different applications and have different sizes.

From what I see, AMG III - 2 piece wheels come in 17" and 18", which do you want?

Mercedes C Class Saloon W202 alloys | Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd

Also, take a close look at the part numbers you see in the link above, these are 203 wheels and most likely are 14M wheels, meaning they take lug bolts that have 14M x 1.5 threads with a R14 radius ball seat.

Your C36 has 12M hubs, and in order to put 14M wheels on a car with 12M hubs, you need special lug bolts that have 12M threads AND 14R ball seats.

These special lug bolts are available from "Otis LA", and shipping is quick.

Don't put 14M wheels on a 12M car without these special lug bolts, using normal 12M bolts with 12R radius ball will not give full contact inside the ball seat, and they may loosen up over time.

If I were to write your ad, and wanted the 17" size I would be exact in the wording:

WTB - 17" AMG III - 2 piece wheels
Size-P/N Fronts - 7.5 x 17 et37 fronts; P/N = A2034001202
Size-P/N Rear - 8.5 x 17 et34; P/N = A2034001302

or if you wanted the 18" version;

WTB - 18" AMG III - 2 piece wheels
Size-P/N Fronts - 7.5 x 18 et37 fronts; P/N = A2034001802
Size-P/N Rear - 8.5 x 18 et34; P/N = A2034001802

Both of the wheels above are 14M wheels, if you get lucky and find a set, don't forget about the special lug bolts.

AMG III- 2 piece wheels don't come up for sale very often, good luck finding a set, but you might want to consider a plan B.

I apologize the wording wasn't so great. I bought a c36amg from a private seller at the end of June and I have been basically restoring it. When I bought it, the car came with that amg wheel, only one and in 17". I was looking for the 18" version to buy or trade. Also willing to sell or trade my oe amg wheels on the c36 that are 17". They need to be refinished and if anyone was interested I would take pictures. I appreciate your help with lug bolts aero 1. I will definitely look at those zoo!

Lug Bolts

Here is a link to the lug bolts you need, I picked a 26mm (length) as a guess, but they come is different lengths.

RAD Lug Bolt 12mmx1.5, 26mm Shank, R14 Ball Seat, Hex 17

Just call them after you have purchased the wheels, and tell them what you have, they will get you the correct lug bolt. The length needs to be long enough to have about 3/4 of an inch sticking out the back side of the wheel. The actual spec is 17mm to 20 mm, and on these type wheels I think 26mm length will give you the correct measurement on the backside of the wheel. But again, let them tell you what you need, they know it all.

Good luck finding the wheels you want....

BTW, I have wanted a C36 engine for my 300CE for quite a while.

There was one about 40 miles away with a bad tranny I could have had cheap, but I waited too long. Now that motor is sitting in a 124 wagon in CT.

Good luck restoring your C36... (If ya ever want to sell the motor...lol)
