As the title suggests, I have a 1983 Mercedes 240D for sale. This car belonged to my future father in law, and he has given it to me to sell to help pay for my wedding. It is a two owner car, with the first being his father. The car has been in my possession briefly, and rolled over 290,000 miles on the trip home from picking it up.
I don't know just a ton of details about it, but I will list what I do know, and if you have any questions, I'll do my best to get the answers. As far as I know, everything is original. 2 of the motor mounts have been replaced (I don't know how many it has). The a/c compressor has also been replaced. It needs a condenser for the a/c to work again, and one was bought for it, but cannot currently be found. If I find it, the buyer is welcome to it.
All in all, for a 30 year old car, it runs and drives well. It's slow to accelerate, as I'm sure any enthusiast of these cars knows, but it cruises nicely on the highway. Given my agenda for selling, obviously I want to get as much as possible for it. Prices I've seen are all over the place, so I'm asking $4900, and will entertain any reasonable offer. If you would like to see it this weekend, please let me know ASAP, as I have plans to leave town, but can stay if needed. Pics in the link below. Thanks for looking!
