Im selling my 06' DTS.
I have a post up on craigslist as well:
2006 Cadillac DTS, Every option 73k miles.
It has about 73k miles. I rarely drive it, and its taking up more space than I'd like to justify keeping it.
1) I did have it fully repainted due to someone trying (and failing) to get in the trunk, and a 2 ft scratch on the rear Q panel from me backing up and relying on the parking sensors a little too much... apparently there no side sensors... Who knew! I did not go through insurance with this (though I should have) so this wont be on the carfax. I do have before, during, and after pictures.
I first had the trunk repaired/repainted, and then I had the encounter with the mail box. After the repaint of the rear Q panel, the car looked too off with a perfect looking trunk and q-panel compared to the minor scratches and door dings everywhere else, so I opted to have the whole thing resprayed. This was not a cheapo paint job. It was a 3 stage and clear coat paint job. I took it to Carmax to get an estimate on how much they'd pay me for the car and they didnt notice it was repainted- though i didnt sell it to them because i felt mildly insulted with thier offer, even though they had a same year DTS on thier lot with less options and 10k more miles for $19,000.00
2) It leaks oil from the oil pan gasket. I bought a new gasket and almost did it myself, but then i realized how lazy i was do to the job myself. I wont take it to have the mechanic do it either; so i figured id wait untill it needed some other work as well, and do it all at once. As result, I didnt fix it yet and now I have an oil pan gasket, which is included with the car.
3) The TPMS sensors need to be reset. I keep trying to reset them, but it wont work. Take it to a tire center and have them do it. very worst case (which i highly doubt), you need to replace a TMPS sensor which is ~50 bucks.
Im asking $13,500 which is private party fair condition price. I feel this is very reasonable.
Car is located in Sacramento, CA. I will help arrange shipping for a forum member if needed, and will take it to a shop of your choice for a PPI.
The forum wont let me upload pics right now, but there are pictures on the c-list ad, and I will forward them to you via email if you want.
