If you take the time to disassemble into small shippable items that your mailman can take, or you can drop at FedEx and UPS, you should find it is pretty easy (but time consuming) to part out one of these cars. Large parts had hard to unload, even for free. You may find it hard to get rid of the hard top ($100), stock wheels ($100 for set), any larger panels (name your low price), glass, etc.
With cars of this period which are pretty widely available, it's easy to pick up a parts car for about $1000, and at that price it may even run. I think for $2000 the car should run and drive, and maybe even be restorable. It is not unheard of for these cars to be sold for $100-500. If you want to unload this whole thing, I would suggest that price range.
If interested in parting it out, take a look at ebay. Take lots of pictures, and either post here or on ebay.
Edit: and realize that most of the stuff that is still for sale on ebay is still for sale on ebay for a reason, usually priced too high, way too high in many cases. To sell parts on ebay, I always list below the lowest price I can find on ebay.
My dream car is a classic sporty five speed (stick+overdrive) convertible that seats five. If, you want 70's-80's Mercedes tuner wheels, let me know.
