FS 1984 Mercedes 300SD TurboDiesel 2 tank WVO/diesel - $4300

This car is in El Cerrito, CA. Near San Francisco.

I'm selling my 1984 300 SD Turbo Diesel Dual-tank system WVO and diesel/bio-diesel.
Includes over 50 gallons of free WVO fuel!

Pictures here:

I've loved this car, but my source for WVO (used veggie oil) has dried up and I just haven't searched for another source. It has been a great car for me for almost 6 years. I bought the car with 139,000 miles on it and have put an additional 60k on it. The car was in good shape when I got it. It had 2 previous owners who had it maintained with a Mercedes mechanic in Santa Rosa. I bought it from the mechanic and have maintained and made all the necessary repairs over the years. Some of the things I've done are listed below. I'm trying to track down my maintenance records. I have some, and will dig up the rest.
These cars will run FOREVER if maintained. These Mercedes diesels are known for the longevity and combined with running on Veggie oil or biodiesel will run even longer.
This car new cost about 48k in 1984. Every mechanic I've taken this too has remarked what a good engine it has. From about 1979 up until 1985, these engines were great. There was a change made in 1986 that created a lot of problems with the engine. I'm not a mechanic, but I did lots of research about these cars before I bought it.

It has 198,883 miles.

I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle.

• I had VegRev in Oakland do the top of the line WVO conversion dual tank system about 5 years ago. We've run mainly on free WVO for 5 years!
• Recent full tune up/oil change/filter changes done last month
• New battery and alternator in the last year under AAA warranty for 2 more years
• Spent a small fortune fixing the AC unit and now blows cold.
• Installed a Panasonic removable stereo/cd player/blue tooth enabled for hands free phone calls and speakers
• Keyless entry lock
• Working electric seat levers for adjusting seats
• No tears in the upholstery
• Transmission redone 2 years ago.
• Maintained mainly at Metropolitan motors in San Francisco
• Registered until November 2014
• Never needs a smog check
• New Front and rear brake pads done in May 2013
• Top of the line Michelin tires done in May 2012

It has typical paint oxidation on the hood and roof. I didn't want to invest in a paint job, but could be done from the cheap $1500 to $4000 or more.
The interior has a cracked dashboard and a few small things that could be fixed.

Also available for sale is our custom designed and built WVO filtration system and pump.
The filtration system includes a Raw Power Oil Transfer Pump - 15gpm - that I paid $500 for 3 years ago, it's still going strong!
The filtration system was custom made and cost over 2500.00 for parts and custom welding.
It comes with 2 extra 55 gallon barrels, spare WVO oil, and extra filters. We are asking for $700 additional for it. Ideally both the car and the filtration system to a good home!
