PARTS 1974 500SLC euro bumpers, Lorinser rims, Euro headlights

If you want, there is a member in Virginia with the correct 4-speed transmission and pedals for a 350sl for sale. His car also looks like a parts car, and would be a bolt-on conversion.

Also, dgosh28 has a parts car 1974 450slc (North American model) that I think he needs to dump pretty soon. Heck, at this rate, I wonder if he would want to sell his rare, but rusty, 5.0 SLC.

Then, there's also a 79 450slc in Southwest Oregon that is supposedly rust free with a blown left head (and possibly bottom end damage).

Where are you located?
Newington... CT ???

There is one I can buy from LA I can harvest it to fix up this euro. I need to see what shape its in first though I hope it comes in next week or so. IDK but I always think the older the nicer so it being a 74 rises its value am I thinking right? Also there is a 6.3 supercharged engine from a 300SEL for sale 5K. Would it be worth installing that here? I got the know how to do it but is it worth it? I think it would be dragster than. If not than maybe I can get a stick shift for it from Poland along with pedals and so on.. Im very curious as to the shape of the car maybe its just plainly shut!!
Not really rare. There were almost 14,000 made. 1972-1980. All 350SLCs are Euro as they were not sold in North America.

Production of the 450SLC ended with the 1980 model year. Production of all SLCs ended with the 1981 model year. No 1986 450SLC but maybe that was a typo.

Yes im from Newington CT. I really appreciate all your help. I think If the car is not rusted and engine is only way to go would be stick shift to make the car worth something. Thanks

$900 for a nice set sounds fair on both sides.

I don't believe the linked $450 set was necessarily overpriced, or the wrong purchase. If the buyer was local and wanted to paint them, I'm sure I would have done the same thing if in those shoes. (I personally am not a big fan of painted brite work on these cars though.) I'm not sure I see bondo either, maybe just acid-etched chrome, a better surface for paint than chrome.

No BONDO.. i have taken them apart and have sent all the bolts to be cleaned, brackets and bumpers to be powder coated, and chrome pieces redone..

waiting for my other set of bumpers to arrive and ready to disassemble and do the same with this other set.

there is quite a difference between paying for overpriced bumpers that you were selling and bumpers that can be bought at a more realistic price.. by the time im done with the bumpers they will be as good as new..

good day

Dan
