I'm confused as to why no more videos or pictures of the car have been posted yet.

Yes, a deal has been agreed to. I am trading Scott a running driveable vehicle for the '79 SLC. The catch was that he had to deliver it to me in Eureka which is only about 2.5 hours south of Bandon, Or. I am a coupe guy at heart and am hoping that the damage was limited to the valves such that the head can be saved and repaired. Yes I'm taking a chance but a check mark in the positive Karma column never hurt. I have had folks help me out and I just wanted to pay it forward. Besides, the car looks pretty nice and is a perfect color combination. It should be here tomorrow(4/16) and I've already given my Indie the heads up.

I would still punch that old guy square it the face then push that car into his house on fire, but that's just me.

PM me for a replacement engine...

..lots of these around here...there's a Euro 500SL engine and trans that just came in at the local MB wreckers...

FYI, the hydraulic cam tensioner in these and all other M116/7 leak down after having sat for a while. To prevent this after storage, or anytime oil has been changed, disconnect the green CPS wire from the ignition and turn over until you see 3 bar on the pressure gauge. Reconnect the CPS and fire away...much easier on the whole assembly....pass this around

Just say no to sparkplugs[SIGPIC]

I am in the process of collecting all the parts I will need. Got a good head and cam cover for a screaming deal. Also needs a radiator which I have sourced. New parts starting arriving yesterday, most of the rest should be here next week. Also going to be smart and replace some parts just because we're in there already. Centra wheels are toast, will go with some 8 holers until something better comes along. Has some minor rust to repair but overall a pretty solid car. Goal is to have it running and driveable by Sept 1st for no particular reason other than a target date. Moron this later
