There are at least 3 different F/S threads started recently by folks with very little, or NO history with BenzWorld forums.

All 3, (possibly more), talk about cars their Father or mother had, and there is enough detail given to make is almost believable.

The alledged seller of this car writes in the general forum on 3 26 14

Hey everyone, so my moms been secretly hiding a 300Tdt that we just recently found out about lol. Shes a hoarder and never gets rid of anything. My dad said to junk it and no one would give us even 90 dollars for it lol. So this car has 30,000 original miles and its a 7 seater. I had it towed to the shop and got a new battery, oil change and new brakes. The car started on the first crank and runs so smooth I was shocked. Its a single owner and very clean and was garage kept and the paint looks brand new. I was wondering if there was any value to this car and also what else should I get done on the car. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Are you guys serious believing this, mom owns a cherry "add your car make /model here" that no one in the family ever heard about. Are you kidding me?

Whether or not this one is real is up to the beholder, but remember, "If it sounds to good to be true...yada yada yada..."

I do believe that PT Barnum would have been proud of some of these FS ad's.

Mostly, I think there is a scam involved, or someone whose been run off before, drops back in with a new name and stirs the pot, sure got a lot of feedback on this one eh? Bet he's laughing his but off...

Here are the 3 scams I think are going on right now, and probably by the same person;

1 - This TDT ad that mom hid from the world and she never drove this rare low mile car that dad says to junk.. so she secretly bought it and had it secretly stored for years...OMG

2 - The 3 old Mercedes that used to belong to dad, no pictures, gets instantly angry and takes his ball and goes home, and unbelievably a seasoned forum member gets mad when he is challenged

3 - An Euro SEC stored in Springfield, MO and the owner is in FL with no pictures of his fathers pride and joy... oh, and you can have it for $500, really?

There are probably more, but that's the 3 weird ad's I see recently.

Some forums don't allow members to sell anything until they have belonged for a period of time, not perfect, but at least other forums recognize the exposure to 1 time posters/scammers. This poster actually has 1 2013 post, and the rest are silly 2014 posts. Go look at every sellers posting history, sometimes it says a lot.

For the owner of the car stored in MO, hey lets apply the old MO saying,

"I`m from Missouri -- you'll have to show me."

That means until a trusted member of this forum verifies the cars existence, condition and that it's legally for sale as advertised, I don't believe a word from the seller.

Prove me wrong... invite a well known forum member over to inspect the car and your documentation.... I'll be the first in line to say I'm wrong......... your turn..

first picture shows more than 30K on it way more. I owned 20 of these w124 and I own 6 right now. front headlight doors are way too foogy. Maybe it happens with age but Im sure that if the car was sitting for most its life those would be almost like new. IDK but best to actually look at more details which I dont want to mention cuz than you can simply change the stuf out and make the car look low miles. Its impossible to destinguish a old merks mileage if the car is well maintained and cared for thats why we all love them they are timelesssss. One thing you cant really mess with is the windshield. If its original than it will have pitting from the road rocks. If the glass is original and it looks like its not because the sticker is way too high up and not brown and cracked. Again those are just my thoughts. If its truelly 30K for someone to believe oyu will need to fill in alot of blanks for a enthusiast. Just my 2 cents and I really hope it is 30K it looks like a great car hope you sell it for good $$

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has gone by to see this car.
