For Sale: W123 Trunk Triangle Mounting Clip

This is a complete trunk triangle mounting clip that fits all 1976-1985 W123 chassis coupes and sedans, including 240D, 280CE, 280E, 300CD, and 300D. There is no reflective triangle included, just the mounting clip as pictured. The clip slides into place on the inside of the trunk. This part is used, but in like new condition.

I'd like $25 plus shipping from Arizona 85043, USA. I am happy to ship this part anywhere in the world.

1967 W110 Universal Wagon, Turbo Diesel, Tail Fins, 4 Speed Manual Column Shift, A/C
1980 W116 300SD Turbo Diesel, DB479 Walnut Brown, Sunroof, Highly Optioned

I did not know that. I will look them up to confirm. If this is true, then I no longer have any motivation to save these from the yards.

Strange, as all the other brackets are cheap. Can you post a photo of the back so we can see the layout of the clips?

The brackets for the later models (124, 126, 140, 129, etc.) are all around $10 or less, which is what I based my comments on. I was not aware the W123 bracket was different or NLA.

W140 & R129: Mercedes Auto Parts like 1408900014

Here are some more on eBay: Mercedes Hazard Triangle Clip w 126 W201 W124 Used Nice N R | eBay

And another: Mercedes 1238900014 Spare Wheel Bracket W123 220D 240D 300D | eBay

I could go on, but I believe I made my point. Yes, it does appear that the W123 trunk triangle bracket is NLA and $80 list from those who offer it new. That being said, nearly every bracket from this model on is cheap, which was what I based my comments on.

No reason to be a jerk about it, andyb. My initial comments were based on direct experience.

I looked up the W126 clips, and they list as "1268900014 BRACKET,TRUN MSRP $30.00", so they are less expensive than these W123 clips. I can't believe how cheap the even newer clips are.

Hopefully someone can appreciate this one at this price.

The older triangles are just so bloody heavy.
