This is a set of manual window regulators that are extremely hard to find in the USA. They fit 1972-1980 W116 chassis short wheelbase sedans, including 280S, 280SE, 300SD, 350SE, and 450SE. They will fit the front doors of the long wheelbase W116, such as 280SEL, 350SEL, 450SEL, and 6.9. The part number for the electric rear window regulators is the same between the short and long wheelbase sedans, so I think it is safe to assume that they will also fit the longer rear doors of the 450SEL, etc., but the risk is yours.
These regulators are in excellent mechanical condition. They were removed from a right-hand-drive car, so the driver side regulator when used on a USA-model will have less wear than the passenger side. They come clean and ready for the grease of your choice. I will grease them for you with synthetic grease if you ask me. The window cranks are in great condition and have nice black trim on them. Everything is here that you need to convert your W116 to manual windows. No more will you have to deal with unreliable and frustrating power windows!
This is an easy bolt-in installation; just remove your power window regulators, bolt these in their place, and attach the arm to the bottom of the window frame. The backside of your door panels will already have a hole cut out for the crank shaft to poke through. Simply use a razor and make some cuts to open up a hole in the vinyl. I have installed a set of these in my 1980 300SD and they work great. I, however, had to spend hundreds of dollars and order them from Germany. I also had to buy the center console wood piece without window switches for an additional $100.
