I fill up my 300ce 5spd with regular never had issues, run some injector cleaner once in a while to rid of the sugar deposits brought by the ethanol in crappy gas. FACT ethanol mixed with water is what is added to our fuels that makes hydrogen when combusted in engines giving extra fuel economy. If our engines had enough compression and heat during combustion you would be able to run on water after the engine gets going. Thats why some fires when they brake out putting them out with water actually adds fuel to the fire something to think and comment on ???? what has more energy galon of water or galon of gasoline or diesel ??
I like your car; no doubt about that, but diesel goes more than skin deep. The beauty of a diesel lies in more than one thing. Sure mileage can be better than gas but as you said its a crap shoot depending on local taxes, etc. A diesel starts to pull away from a gas motor when the miles start to rack up. Diesel fuel is more of a lubricant than gasoline and better for longevity. Diesels also require much less maintenance than a gas motor. A deez needs a fuel filter change once a year and that is about it. It won't need a set of spark plugs, ignition wires, coil, cap or rotor, etc. Put 100k on a gas motor M103 and you are looking at a service that will cost at least $500. A deez will need less than $100 in service at that mile marker. Gas and Deez both have their strengths. For me, I like not having to plug in my car when its in the single digits or the low teens outside. I also like being able to get fuel more conveniently and also appreciate the power advantage of a gas over a deez Benz. But I understand why some people would never have a gas motored car if they had the choice.

I agree completely with you on everything you said. One thing to put into thought is that diesel mercedes is more money, diesel in this shape would cost 5K so you got 1500 cheaper car thats some room for the extra tuneups. And yeh tune ups aren't cheap I really should be selling it for 4k but I needed money bad month ago. I think i wont go around upping prices though. For all that are reading this price is firm and A/C works.

i really like this car! i really, really like this car! i have been drooling over this one for the last 2 months but i have too many cars now. my right brain was telling me to fly to ct when your price went down to 3500. my left brain won the argument when the realization that 5 cars in a 3 person family was enough already and six would probably get me divorced! (particularly another 20 year old vehicle - my wife just doesn't understand my mania for w124's). so my right brain was satisfied by the promise from the left side that if the price dropped to 3000, i would get on a plane the next day. fortunately, for my left brain (as well as my insurance premium on what would be 6 cars if i bought yours) you raised your price to 4000!
thank you! i now can quit the internal battle going on in my head and stop thinking about this effing beautiful vehicle that quite litterally has been keeping me up at night as i am constantly checking this thread and your ad on craigslist! in fact i just removed the ad from my 'favorites' on craigslist.

Sent you a PM. It really would be nice if you had a carfax report that you could send to a serious buyer. To prove number of owners, maintenance records, registration history, and where the car has spent its life and any accidents if reported. The car really does look clean in the pictures. Where did you get the car? The little old lady? Trade in? Auction?

Everything on the car work as it should?
Any known water leaks?

I'm in Massachusetts and would seriously like to come and look at the car. If recently been in the market for a W124. I was leaning more towards the M104 cars, but if this is as nice as it looks in the pictures and as you describe I just may change my mind.

I will ansfer this her e and send yopu a PM so all get to see it. Lady from philly drove it around CT and exhaust broke off, than she got a flat and ruined the tire. Guy bought it from her and sold it to me. I fixed evrything and there she is, a real sportline, last w124 before the whole BS with e320 issues. Evrything works even the A/C no leaks anywhere No rust either. One small dent on the rear left quarter below the tail light you cant even see from pics and I would not even fix it to keep the original paint because the car has never had body work done so far. Also I think it was noted that the car had an accident and I bet its that dent because there was scuffs on the bumper I had to polish off below that tail light I saw it on the report I will find where I stashed it and try and paste it on here.
